Dear Friend,

I was born and raised in Albany, attended Albany schools, and have lived here for my entire life except during my time in the Army. My two children attend public schools, and I am passionate and dedicated to doing the hard work to improve our schools. Our community is growing, and together we must prepare our children, and our school district, for the next phase of growth.

Equity in Learning

We have children from many different walks of life, facing varied challenges. Let’s meet them at the point of their need. We need practical improvements to

  • Expand our special education

  • Maximize the time our teachers spend interfacing with students

  • Reduce class size

  • Increase access to Behavioral Health resources

  •

Addressing Learning Loss

In recent years, the workload on teachers has grown, reducing student-teacher interaction. Let’s work to

  • Expand Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs

  • Employ varied modes of education

  • Reduce non-student facing tasks from teacher workloads

What does the community say about Ben?

“From his time volunteering on the school board’s budget committee and with our local American Youth Soccer Organization, Ben has both the passion and the experience Albany needs to represent our kids and our community on the Greater Albany Public School board.”

Steph Newton, Albany City Councilor

“Ben has a heart for improving the lives of children, and our school district will be well-served with him joining the board of directors.”

Jackie Montague, Albany City Councilor
